MALLÉABLE-ALÉATOIRE
Group exhibition curated by Chloé Bonnie Moore, at Galerie Andréhn-Schiptjenko, Paris / 2023
Installation LES FURTIVES
Comprising the Lénarash and Shéareah series.
Dormant installation activated through the culinary performances Aïe confiance / Méfie-toi.

At the heart of the exhibition Malléable-Aléatoire, the installation Les Furtives brings together the Lénarash and Shéareah series in a configuration designed to transform over the course of the exhibition.
Suspended in the space, three paintings from the Lénarash series usually remain folded in on themselves, like cocoons, while the Shéareah works occupy the walls. During three culinary performances, each Lénarash is successively unfolded across a table, becoming the very site of the meal, before being folded again.
The installation thus shifts from withdrawal to exposure, from invisibility to visibility, from protection to vulnerability. Around the table, gestures, food and the presence of the guests directly engage the painting, bringing into focus what is at stake in any relationship of trust: accepting exposure while entrusting another with responsibility for what might be altered.
Through Les Furtives, painting is no longer simply an image to be looked at. It becomes a presence whose state depends on what unfolds around it.
